In a world crumbling beneath our feet it is all-too-easy to overlook a humanitarian crisis of staggering proportions.
One person every 2 seconds – over 92 million as of early 2022, before the current Ukraine crisis – is forced to flee their home to avoid the effects of armed conflict, situations of generalized violence, violations of human rights, or natural disasters.

Yes, I read these responses. Everyone of you who signed up to “follow” my site is on a list and automatically receives a notification when I post. The good news for you when you receive an email notification is that you can see my post. The bad news is that it’s tricky and not intuitive to click the small print “giblets & flapdoodle” in blue in the upper right to access my actual web site (see link below) where my post resides, and which is visually more interesting with a menu bar at the top to click on related links.
