Uncle Sam was pointing at me.

So I volunteered.

But it was the summer of ’67. I wasn’t going to leave my peace symbols at home.
🙂 🙂 🙂
Drafted or enlisted, during war or peace, we owe respect and a huge debt of gratitude to all who served.
And none of us should forget that our former President was a draft dodger who taunted POWs as “losers.”

Wow…no wonder I felt so safe & secure in 1967 … Did they try to court marshal you for your peace symbols? Huss, who reported for a physical was threatened with being drafted but seemed to get unintentionally lost in paperwork & ultimately was officially declared intelligible though threatened to be drafted … Some things just work out 😎
